The State Board of Education (SBE) launched a review website (here) to collect feedback on math, ELA, and science standards. The website provides an opportunity for every Tennessean to participate in a highly transparent and comprehensive standards review process. We encourage educators, parents, and other stakeholders to review the standards and share input.

After the first round of public feedback, Tennessee educators revised the math and ELA standards. The revised standards for math and ELA will be available for another round of public feedback on the review website (here) until mid-November. Once approved by the state board of education, these standards will be implemented in the 2017-2018 school year.

Proposed science standards are also currently posted on the review website (here) for their first round of public feedback. Data collected from this website will be given to a team of Tennessee educators to review, and this data will inform the revision of the science standards. Please note that the revised standards and aligned assessments for science will be implemented in the 2018-19 school year.
