Exciting News from Clarksburg School! We are thrilled to share that the Career and Technical Education (CTE) Program at Clarksburg School has taken a giant leap forward with the addition of Rocket Plasma, a state-of-the-art plasma cutter! This hands-on, project-based learning system was made possible through funding secured by Mr. Dewayne Ervin, former CTE Director, via a federal Perkins Extended Grant. According to Dr. Lisa Norris, Director of Schools, Rocket Plasma will provide students with realistic job training and the opportunity to establish a student business enterprise—an incredible initiative to prepare them for future careers! A huge shoutout to community volunteer Mr. Dale Bartholomew for assisting with the placement of Rocket Plasma and supporting this innovative program. Your dedication to our students and school is truly appreciated. Thank you to everyone who continues to invest in the future of our students through education and skill-building programs. From the Clarksburg PTO: (EDITED TIME) The next CPTO meeting is Thursday, November 14 at 6:30 p.m. in the school library. The CPTO is an organization that supports the teachers and students of Clarksburg School. We hold fundraising events and the proceeds go towards many different things including helping teachers buy supplies for their classrooms, giving rewards for honor roll, end of year activities, Dr. Seuss week and much more. Clarksburg School may be a smaller school compared to other schools in the county but it still needs as much support as possible and who better to help than the parents of the students who attend because we care the most about our children’s education and opportunities. We need volunteers to join the CPTO to make the organization stronger than ever before and the more parents that join, the more great ideas and help we’ll receive to help our teachers and students. We hope to see everyone at the meeting!!

IMPORTANT NOTICE: Due to rising food costs, the board has voted to change the amount of cafeteria credit that can be charged. Starting November 1, students and staff will no longer be able to charge over $15.00. Currently, our school offers the CEP program, which allows students to eat breakfast and lunch at no cost. However, if a student does not get a complete meal with at least three items for lunch, or if they purchase seconds, there will be a charge. This is a USDA rule, not one made by the board. To help us stay on budget, please talk to your child about this policy. If you’d like to check your child's meal account balance, visit My School Bucks at myschoolbucks.com, or you can call Mrs. Christy Bennett at 731-535-6099 to find out the balance or add a note to the account. Thank you for your understanding and support! 💙
