Exciting news from our CTE Health Science Classes:
We cannot believe it is almost the end of our first semester with our new CTE Health Science classes! We have been so blessed with the best speakers and field trips. They all poured knowledge and inspiration into our students. We are so very thankful to them!
We completed our First aid unit with the help of 3 incredible nurses!
Jessalyn Parker, RN, CEN, TCRN, CFRN, NREMT from Air Evac Lifeteam. The students were fascinated by what a Flight Nurse career entails and Jessalyn even shared with them a lesson on "stop the bleed" for emergent situations! A couple of students walked out of class that day and said "I want to be a flight nurse now". How cool is that?!
Alexxus Roberts, RN & Kelby Kernodle, RN from Jackson Madison County General Hospital's Emergency Department educated our students in regard to first aid burn care and ran a Emergency Room patient scenario. To say the energy in the room was top tier and the hearts were racing is an understatement! We couldn't have enjoyed it more!
Ms. Jessie is insanely proud of these students and cannot wait to see what their future holds because it is looking so, so bright. 😎
Good things are happening at Clarksburg School.

Officers from the Carroll County Sheriff's Department led the instruction for the students. Jaden O' Guinn, who had never shot a firearm up until this day, won the AR-15 competition!
