House District 79’s State Representative, Brock Martin, visited Clarksburg today. The students who recently visited the capital learned more about the state Legislative branch and how bills become laws at the state level. The Carroll County Prevention Coalition made it possible for the Clarksburg Teen Health Council and Mrs. Flippin's Civics Class to attend the Prevention Alliance of TN's Day on the Hill event in Nashville on Tuesday. The students travelled to the capital where they were able to participate in a mock state legislative session. Students were able to participate in the process of introducing bills, debating, then voting on them. Our very own Chloe Crum was honored to act as Speaker of the House for the session! Good things are happening at Clarksburg Schools.
